Target Reads With LA's BEST

Target and LA’s BEST After School Enrichment Program have teamed up to produce the first annual Target Reads With LA’s BEST citywide event on October 10, 2007. This National Book Month celebration to promote literacy and the joy of reading will be the largest-ever corporate volunteer effort in LA’s BEST history. Simultaneously and citywide, more than 200 Target volunteers will read to students in the LA’s BEST program at all 180 program sites. Additionally, each child will receive a book from Target, totaling a donation of 26,000 books.
