Proposed Budget Eliminates Federal Funding for After School

Protect After School

President Trump's budget proposal eliminates federal funding for after school programs through the 21st Century Community Learning Center initiative. Like thousands of other programs across the country, LA’s BEST receives federal funding that helps provide a safe and supportive after school program so critical to the families we serve.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Please join the after school movement and persuade Congress to protect after school. Thank you for taking 1 minute to email your representatives.

LA’s BEST has proven to be an effective way to support students in school and in life. LA’s BEST students:

  • Are 20% less likely to drop out of school
  • Are 30% less likely to commit a juvenile crime
  • Score higher on standardized tests and have higher GPAs in middle school

Thank you for supporting LA’s BEST and after school programs across the country.
