LA's BEST Releases the Awesome!

Darth Vader realizes he’s a bully and changes his ways. 

Young astronauts lost in space must overcome fighting and bullying to get back home to earth.  

A spoken word and modern dance piece to Heavy In Your Arms, encourages self-love and identity.

The girls take on the boys in a classic dance-battle and realize it’s okay to be different.

These are just a few of amazing performances featured in LA’s BEST’s 20th Annual Community Jam, a talent showcase created by the organization that enables students to express themselves and come up with solutions about violence and bullying.

This year’s show, held on March 1 at UCLA’s Royce Hall was hosted by actor Chico Benymon, star of the Nickelodeon series, The Haunted Hathaways, and ASAP Dance Instructor, Jessica Cornejo.

The theme of this years show was “Release the Awesome—Stand Up for Peace” and over 26 LA’s BEST school sites performed at the event to an audience of over 850 LA’s BEST students.
