LA's BEST hosted their 23rd Annual Celebrate Science Fair at California State University of Los Angeles. Ray Gonzales hosted the event and Dr. Rosaly M. C. Lopes was the featured key note speaker.
Hypothesis after hypothesis, students from 17 LA's BEST schools didn't hold back when sharing their extroidinary science projects. Each school was represented by a group of students, including a presentation from Lowman School, making it a total attendance of over 60 kids.
Science teams from Anatola, Castelar, Cantebury, Figueroa, Harvard, Monolux, Noble and Wilshire Park elementary schools won the top prize at the 23rd Annual LA’s BEST Celebrate Science Fair.
Seventeen science teams from elementary schools around the City of Los Angeles competed to win a three-day trip to the NatureBridge Institute at the Santa Monica Mountains, where the winners will experience hands-on science learning as they explore the park’s Mediterranean ecosystem.
Runners-up from Aldama, Bright, Crescent Heights, Euclid, Hawaiian, Huerta, Pacoima and Raymond elementary schools will join the winners for a trip to the Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey.
