LA's BEST students, staff, and families learned about healthy lifestyle choices through exciting and engaging activities and demonstrations. Performers included Janelle Ortiz of the Disney film Prom, Dillon Lane, star of Nickelodeon's "Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures," Cymphonique, star of Nickelodeon's upcoming series "How to Rock" and recording artist Master P.

Elizabeth Banks Makes LA's BEST Her Cause

Elizabeth Banks is a dedicated LA's BEST supporter, volunteering her time and energy to the students in our program, most recently joining the students of Selma Elementary (as seen in this video) to enjoy an LA's BEST activity-filled afternoon including Wii Yoga and Dance. You can also listen to Elizabeth explain why LA's BEST is so important and close to her own heart.
LA's BEST honored Elizabeth Banks with the Children's Champion Award for her support to LA's BEST at this year's 16th Annual Family Brunch on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel.

American Chemistry Council & LA's BEST Partner for "Go H2O Challenge"

LA's BEST has partnered with The American Chemistry Council on "Go H2O challenge" to teach younger generations about the importance of recycling and keeping plastics out of the environment. Since 2008, the program has reached 28,000 children.

National Dance Day Flash Mob

LA's BEST students from Euclid and Panorama City Elementary Schools joined thousands of dancers to perform a flash mob-style dance to celebrate the first National Dance Day, created by Nigel Lythgoe, at the Music Center downtown.

LA's BEST students from the Hillcrest Elementary 2010 Dance Squad perform at the 15th Annual Family Brunch held on June 6, 2010 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. LA's BEST honored Mattel, Inc. with the community Parnter Award, Sohar Quinteros with the Distinguished Alumna Award and Peter Murrieta and David Henrie with the Children's Champion Award.
