Pack to School
LA’s BEST, Speaker John Perez, and Walgreen’s send 500 children back to school with brand new backpacks
October 7, 2011
Just in time for back to school, Assembly Speaker John Perez secured a donation of 500 new backpacks from Walgreen’s for LA’s BEST students. The backpacks were distributed on Friday, September 30, 2011 to LA’s BEST students at Euclid, Gratts, and Bridge Elementary Schools. Backpacks included health and safety pamphlets from Speaker Perez. As many families struggle to obtain supplies for the new school year, this generous donation aids in equipping students with the tools to succeed.
