October 27, 2012
Carson, California – All-Star Chris Paul led more than 4,000 children and their families in a 3K Walk named after the NBA star at the LA’s BEST Family Health Festival on Saturday, October 27, 2012.
Paul, who’s nickname is CP3, co-sponsored the festival through his CP3 Foundation. LA’s BEST organized booths featuring physical activities, healthy snacks, information about maintaining good health. Paul led the CP3K Walk around an Olympic-styled track. He was joined by fellow Olympic Gold Medalist Allyson Felix, as well as hip hop legend Master P and his daughter Nickelodeon star Cymphonique, Disney star Carlon Jeffery and an up and coming kids act, the Sledge Grits Band.
The event took place at the Home Depot Center, largely thanks to the efforts of benefactor Carmen Trutanich and Tim Leiweke, CEO of AEG Entertainment, which owns the venue, according to LA’s BEST President and CEO Carla Sanger.
