Contributions of any size to help with program delivery and general operations are always welcome and appreciated, and they help with our State of California matching fund requirements. Project support for targeted enrichment, education, or recreation initiatives can be discussed with our Development Department at 213-978-0801. Transfers of stock are managed by the LA's BEST Development Office with Smith Barney. A wide range of goods, services and tickets for event opportunities are gladly accepted, especially when accompanied by a statement of value on company or personal letterhead. In–kind donations so identified also help with State of California matching fund requirements and are tax deductible. All donations are tax deductible; the tax ID# for LA' BEST is 95–4311058.

We Need Computers!

LA's BEST is currently looking for used computers and equipment for its KidType program. All donations are tax deductible and we will pick up your equipment for free. (There is a minimum of 10 computers donated to qualify for free pick-up.) We accept the following items year-round:

• PC computers (Pentium III or better)
• 15" or 17" color monitors
• Keyboards, mice and power cords

We do not accept Apple/Macintosh computers or other equipment not listed above. All donated equipment must be in good, working condition with no missing or broken parts.

Thanks to our generous donors and partners, KidType awarded nearly 300 computers to deserving students and their families in the spring of 2007. We would like to thank partners The Riordan Foundation and LAUSD, as well as our regular donors, 21st Century Insurance, Cal State LA, Santa Monica College and Raytheon, for their support and generous contributions.
